How we make money, and the lines we don’t cross.
How Top10Plumbers is funded
Top10Plumbers is free to use. We don't charge you, take bookings, or add fees to any job. To keep the site running, we may accept payment from plumbing businesses for sponsored listings.
What a sponsored listing gets
- A highlighted card on the city page it appears on.
- A clear "Sponsored" label at the top of that card.
What a sponsored listing doesn't get
- A higher position. Rankings are editorial and follow our method.
- A way around our checks. Sponsored businesses must meet the same licence and reputation standards as everyone else.
- Any say over what we write about them.
Other relationships
If a business on one of our lists is also a client of our operator for other services, we note it on that business's listing. Client status never affects ranking.
Links to businesses
Links to sponsored businesses are marked as sponsored in our code, in line with Google's guidelines. Links to other listed businesses are marked nofollow.
We're not a plumbing business
Top10Plumbers is an independent comparison site. We don't employ plumbers or carry out work. Any agreement for plumbing work is between you and the business you hire, so always confirm licensing, pricing and availability directly with them.
